【例文】

①彼かれが困こまっていたので、お金かねを貸かしてやった。
He was in trouble, so I lent him some money.

②次のテストで満点まんてんを取とってやる。
I'll get a full score on the next test.

【意味】
～てあげる

【意味・用法】
①その行為が、行為者自身のためではなく他の誰かのための行為である場合に使われます。「V+てあげる」と違い、ぞんざいな表現。

②それを絶対に成し遂げるという話し手の強い決意を表すためや、話し手の対決的な姿勢を示すためにも使われます。

【英語】
① "V+teyaru" is used when the action is not for the actor himself but for someone else. Unlike V+teageru", this is an impolite expression.

② It is also used to express the speaker's strong determination to accomplish it or to show the speaker's confrontational attitude.

【Grammar point】

■用法①：

それが行為者自身ではなく、他の誰かのための行為である場合に使われます。また、「V+てあげる」と同じように、聞き手や第三者が話し手のために行う行為には使われません。

1. 大変たいへんそうだから手伝てつだってやるよ。
（≒手伝ってあげるよ）
It looks like hard work, so I'll help you out.

2. 彼かれが私わたしを手伝てつだっ（~~てやった~~）てくれた。
He helped me.

■注意すべき点

この文型は、目下の者、親しい友人、動物に対してする行為に使われ、目上の者に対する行為には使われません。

3. 部下ぶかの山下君やましたくんにプレゼン資料しりょうの作つくり方かたを教おしえてやった。
I taught my subordinate, Yamashita-kun, how to make presentation materials.

4. この本ほん、面白おもしろいからお前まえに貸かしてやるよ。
This book is interesting, I'll lend it to you.

動物に対して

5. 犬いぬを散歩さんぽに連つれてってやった。
I took the dog for a walk.

■用法②：

「V＋てやる」は、その行為の受益者がいない場合や、その行為が誰かの不利益になる場合にも使われます。その場合は、話し手の強い決意を表したり、話し手の対決的な姿勢を表します。

6. いつか必かなずお前まえに仕返しかえししてやるからな。
I'll get even with you one day, I promise.

7. 絶対ぜったいにJLPTのN1に合格ごうかくしてやる。
I will definitely pass the JLPT N1.

用法①：誰かのための行為

・お前まえがそこまで言いうなら、手伝てつだってやるよ。
If you ask me that much, I'll help you out.

・金魚きんぎょの水槽すいそうの水みずを替かえてやった。
I changed the water in the goldfish tank for them.

・もらったお菓子かしは一人占ひとりじめせずに、弟おとうとにも分わけてやりなさい。
Don't take all the sweets you receive, but share them with your younger brother.

・この仕事しごとは代かわりに俺おれがやっといてやるから、今日きょうは早はやく帰かえれ。
I'll take care of this job for you, so go home early today.

・あいつには親切しんせつに教おしえてやったのに、お礼れいの一ひとつも言いってこない。
I taught that guy a lesson in kind and he never thanked me for it.

・彼かれは罠わなにかかっていた狸たぬきを逃にがしてやった。
He let the raccoon dog, which had been caught in a trap, go free.

用法②：対決的な姿勢/強い決意

・あいつには、いつか絶対ぜったい仕返しかえししてやる。
I summarized the content of my interview with him later that day.

・こんな会社かいしゃ、こっちから辞やめてやるよ。
I'll quit this damn company myself.

・俺おれをばかにしやがって、今いまに見返みかえしてやるからな。
You look at me like I am a fool. In the near future, I'll make you pay for it.

・今回こんかいの試合しあいでは負まけたけど、次つぎの試合しあいでは絶対ぜったいにあのチームに勝かってやる。
We lost this game, but we will definitely beat that team in the next game.

・俺おれを馬鹿ばかにしたことを絶対ぜったい後悔こうかいさせてやる。
I will definitely make you regret making fun of me.
