▷ 使われ方

「～次第で」は、何等かのものが「～」によって変わる/決まるなどと言いたいときに使われます。また、「次第」が述語に来る場合は「～は～次第だ/です」などの形で使われます。

接続  formation

 N   + 次第で
（結果次第で、言い方次第で）

▷ ～かどうか次第

動詞・イ形容詞・ナ形容詞と「～かどうか次第で」という形で接続することもあります。

・彼かれは能力のうりょくはあると思おもうので、試験しけんに合格ごうかくできるかどうかは本人ほんにんのやる気き次第です。
I think he has the ability, so it depends on his motivation to pass the exam.

・来週らいしゅう退院たいいんできるかどうかは、今日きょう受うけてもらう検査けんさの結果けっか次第です。
Whether or not you can be discharged from the hospital next week depends on the results of the tests you will undergo today.

・こちらがどう対応たいおうするかは、相手あいての出方でかた次第だ。
How we respond depends on how they treat us.
