【文法解説】Grammar point 1:

「～ きらいがある」は、人や物事の悪い傾向について述べる時に使われ、良い傾向について述べる時には使いません。

1. 悪い傾向：
彼女かのじょは、自分じぶんの能力のうりょく以上いじょうの仕事しごとをしようとするきらいがある。〇
She has a tendency to try to work beyond her capabilities.

2. 良い傾向：
彼女かのじょは、誰だれとでも仲良なかよくなれるきらいがある。✖
She has a tendency to get along with everyone.

【文法解説】Grammar point 2:

・「～ きらいがある」は漢字で書けば「嫌い」であるが、基本的にひらがなが使われます。

・「がち」に比べ使用頻度がそこまで高い表現ではありません。

・彼かれは口くちでは「仲間なかまが大事だいじ」といいながら、どこか周まわりの人間にんげんを信しんじていないようなきらいがある。
He says " friends are important," but he seems to have little faith in the people around him.

・彼かれは物事ものごとを他人たにんのせいにするきらいがある。
He has a tendency to blame others for things.

・少々しょうしょう時間じかんがかかり過すぎてしまったきらいはあるが、なんとか完成かんせいしたので良よかった。
It may have taken a little too long, but I am glad that we managed to complete it.

・彼女かのじょはいつも他人たにん/ひとまかせのきらいがある。
She always has a tendency to leave things to others.

・母はははいつも余計よけいなことをしゃべりすぎのきらいがある。
My mother always tends to talk too much.

・兄あには完璧主義かんぺきしゅぎのきらいがあって、中途半端ちゅうとはんぱにやるぐらいならやらないほうがましと考かんがえているようだ。
My older brother tends to be a perfectionist and would rather not do something than do it halfway.
