【例文】
私と妻は愛し合っている。

お互いに～する
【用法】
「V（ます）+合う」は、その「V」という動作が互いに行われていることを表す。
【英語】
V each other
"V(masu)+ au" indicates that the action "V" is being performed to each other.
【Grammar point】
■「合う」と一緒に使われる動詞
以下のように様々な動詞に接続して使われます。
見つめる、殴る、助ける、協力する、話す、言う、向く、抱く、送る、知る、見せる、認める、etc.
■一緒に使えない動詞
「結婚する、試合する」など、動詞それ自体が互いにする行為である場合は「V+合う」の形は使われません。
1. 私は彼と結婚し合った。✖
I married him.
2. 彼と友達になり合った。✖
He and I became friends.
例）結婚する、婚約する、試合する、会う、etc.
■ お互いに～
「V+合う」は「お互いに」や「互いに」と一緒に使われることがよくあります。
3. 彼と君とがお互いに信頼し合わないと、問題は解決できないと思うよ。
I don't think the problem can be solved unless he and you trust each other.
4. A君とB君は互いに嫌い合っている。
Mr. A and Mr. B dislike each other.
