～ のなんのって

【例文】

あそこの店みせのタコ焼やきを始はじめて食たべたんだけど、それがうまいのなんのって。
I had takoyaki at that restaurant for the first time, and it was soooo good.

【意味】
とても～だ

【用法】
「～のなんのって」は他の語に接続し、その程度の甚だしさを強調するために使われます。ただし、話し手が経験して実感していることに対してのみ使われます。

【英語】
”~ nonannotte" is used in connection with other words to emphasize that the degree is extreme.

【文法解説】Grammar point  ：

カジュアルな表現

「～のなんのって」は、「とても」や「すごく」のように程度を強調するために使われます。フォーマルな場面で使われず、親しい間柄などで使われる非常にカジュアルな表現です。

1. 今年ことしの夏なつはとても暑あついです。
This summer is very hot.

2. 今年ことしの夏なつは暑あついのなんのって。
This summer is sooo hot.

【文法解説】Grammar point 2 ：

話し手の実感のこもった表現

「～のなんのって」は話し手の実感がこもった言い方になります。話し手が経験して実感していることに対して使われ、例文3のように、そうでない場合は使うことができません。

3. 地図ちずによると、あそこの施設しせつは駅えきから遠とおいのなんのって。✖
According to the map, that facility there is very far from the station.

4. 地図ちずによると、あそこの施設しせつは駅えきからすごく遠とおいです。
According to the map, that facility there is very far from the station.

I happened to watch a program yesterday and found it really interesting. I kept watching it until midnight.without saying a word.

・あそこのスーパーは本当ほんとうに安やすいのなんのって。卵たまご１パックが98円えんなんだよ！
The supermarket there is really inexpensive. A pack of eggs is only 98 yen!

・ずっと連絡れんらくの取とれなかった息子むすこから連絡れんらくが突然とつぜんきたもんだから、そりゃ驚おどろいたのなんのって。
I was really surprised to hear from my son, whom I had not been able to contact for a long time.

・あそこの丘おかから見みる海うみに沈しずむ夕日ゆうひは美うつくしいのなんのって。もうこの世よのものとは思おもえないぐらいだよ。
The sunset over the ocean from that hill is really beautiful. It's almost out of this world.

・お盆ぼんに帰かえってきた息子むすこがよく食たべるのなんのって。ご飯はんを５杯はいもおかわりするんですもの。
My son came home for the Obon holiday and he ate so much. He had five more bowls of rice.

・彼かれの部屋へやは汚きたないのなんのって、本当ほんとうに足あしの踏ふみ場ばもない。
His room was so dirty that there was really no place to step.

・隣となりの部屋へやの住人じゅうにんがうるさいのなんのって。夜よるだって全然ぜんぜん寝ねられないんだから。
The person who lives in the room next door is so noisy. I can't sleep at all at night.

・彼かれは何なにをするにしても要領ようりょうが悪わるいのなんのって、隣となりで見みているだけでイライラするぐらいだよ。
He is so inept at everything he does that it is frustrating just to stand next to him and watch.

・あそこの店みせのラーメンは辛からいのなんのって、もう食たべ物ものってレベルじゃないよ。
The ramen at that restaurant is so spicy, it's not even food anymore.

・あの店みせは駅えきから遠とおいのなんのって、とてもじゃないが駅えきから歩あるいてはいけないよ。
That restaurant is so far away from the station, you can't walk there from the station.
