ニュースによれば、今回こんかいの選挙せんきょの投票率とうひょうりつは過去かこ最低さいていだったそうだ。
According to the news, the voter turnout for this election was the lowest ever.

友達ともだちの話はなしによると、山田やまださんは最近さいきん結婚けっこんしたそうだ。
According to my friend, Yamada-san got married recently.

【意味】
～の情報だと

【用法】
その情報が、誰から（またはどこから）得た情報であるかを示すために使われます。また「私の経験によると」のように判断の出所を示す場合にも使われます。

【英語】according to ~

”~niyoreba/~niyoruto" is used to indicate from whom or where the information is obtained. It can also be used to indicate the source of a judgment, as in "私のに経験よると（According to my experience）”.

【Grammar point】

「～によれば」も「～によると」も同じ意味で使われます。例文1,2は同じ意味です。

1. 天気予報てんきよほうによると、明日あしたは雨あめが降ふるらしいです。
According to the weather forecast, it's going to rain tomorrow.

2. 天気予報てんきよほうによれば、明日あしたは雨あめが降ふるらしいです。
According to the weather forecast, it's going to rain tomorrow.

「によると/によれば」は、例文3,4,5のように「らしい」「そうだ」「ということだ/とのことだ」などの伝聞表現と共に使われることが多いです。ただし必ず使わなければいけないというわけではありません。

3. 娘むすめによると、今いま付つき合あっている彼氏かれしはとてもやさしいらしい。
According to my daughter, the boyfriend she is dating is very kind.

4. 彼女かのじょの話はなしによれば、佐藤さとうさんは来月らいげつで会社かいしゃを辞やめるそうだ。
According to her, Mr. Sato would be quitting the company next month.

5. ニュースによると、高速道路こうそくどうろで大おおきな事故じこが起おこったとのことです。
According to the news, there was a major accident on the highway.

「によれば/によると」は、例文6,7のように、「経験、記憶」などの言葉と共に、判断の出所を示すために使われる場合もあります。

6. 私わたしの経験けいけんによれば、休日きゅうじつはこっちの道みちを行いった方ほうが早はやく着つきます。
Based on my experience, it is faster to go this way on holidays.

7. 私わたしの記憶きおくによると、その当時とうじここには魚屋さかなやがあった気きがする。
From what I remember, I think there was a fish store here at that time.

・「～によると」のより丁寧な形として、「～によりますと」も使われます。

・政府せいふの発表はっぴょうによると、昨年度さくねんどの経済成長率けいざいせいちょうりつは1.2％だそうだ。
According to the announcement by the government, the economic growth rate for the last fiscal year was 1.2%.

・友達ともだちの話はなしによると、山田やまださんは先月せんげつ奥おくさんと離婚りこんしたらしい。
According to what my friend told me, Mr. Yamada divorced his wife last month.

・過去かこの記録きろくによれば、この会社かいしゃは1834年ねんに創業そうぎょうされたらしい。
According to past records, this company was founded in 1834.

・聞きいたところによると、この辺へんでは夜よるになると幽霊ゆうれいが出でるそうだ。
According to what I heard, ghosts can be seen around this area at night.

・私わたしの主治医しゅじいによれば、あと2か月げつぐらいで私わたしの病気びょうきは完治かんちするそうだ。
According to my primary doctor, my disease will be completely cured in about two more months.

・噂うわさによると、山田やまだ部長ぶちょうは今月こんげつで会社かいしゃを辞やめるらしい。
According to the rumor, Director Yamada is quitting the company this month.

・彼かれの言いうところによれば、あの会社かいしゃはどうやら倒産とうさん寸前すんぜんらしい。
According to what he said, that company was apparently on the verge of bankruptcy.

・その会社かいしゃの調査ちょうさによると、タバコを吸すう人ひとの割合わりあいは20％を切きっている。
According to a survey by that company, the percentage of people who smoke is less than 20%.

・私わたしの経験けいけんによれば、このやり方かたでやってもうまくいかないと思おもいます。
My experience tells me that this approach will not work.
